How old is the Guild?
Aspiring artists began
meeting in the early 1940s. In 1943 they began practicing
regulations required for non-profit status. In 1948 Colorado Springs
Art Guild was established. See history under
Where and when do you meet?
Our general membership meetings consists of guest speakers,
demos, critiques, or special presentations. Meetings are held at
Gold Hills Mesa on the last Tuesday of the month from 6:30 PM to 8:30
PM. There is no meeting in November or December.
We will have a meeting in July; it will be our Ice cream social with
a band and more. Our board members currently meet shortly before our
meetings at 5:30 PM. Gold Hills Mesa is located

How many members are in the Guild?
Last year our membership
was approximately 72 artists. But we have have had as many as 300.

You need to fill out a membership form on our membership page,
than mail it and your annual dues check to CSAG, P.O. Box 1304,
Colorado Springs, CO 80901, or you may also join when you attend a

How do I get into your art shows?
Most of our shows do not require membership, but additional fees
may apply. All of our shows will be juried. Our art shows will be
listed throughout the year on the events page. And if you join, you
will receive updated show information e-mails.
May I attend your meetings for free?
You may attend a meeting for free. Feel free to ask all the
questions you like, before joining the guild. You may also receive a
copy of a newsletter with our current events and enjoy a demo or
other presentation at your meeting.
